In response to the current pandemic of novel coronavirus (“COVID-19”), on March 16, 2020, the Alameda County Public Health Department issued a Shelter-In-Place Order requiring Alameda County residents, including the residents of Oakland, to remain in their homes except for certain designated exceptions; the Department has since extended shelter-in-place requirements through May 3, 2020.
